// The origins of the empire:_

The Empire of Gmodism grew through the technological advances of the now “Gmodism Industries” company, advancing technology on old earth, out of this the Great Metropolis city grew, spanning entire continents in its current form. when the Gmodism Industries grew to a megacorporation it was soon clear that a government had to be formed and so it was, after long time of local conflicts it was settled as the Empire of Gmodism to simplify the governing as it had grown to an intergalactic civilisation, during this time a lot of discoveries had been made, like life extension, interdimensional- and partial time travel. The Empire has four cardinal arms that are deemed equally important: the Ecclesiarchy, the Government, the Military, and the Mercantile Sector. All of this combined asserts the strength and eternal imperial domination.

// THE IMPERIAL GMODIST UNIFIED ARMED FORCES:_

Imperial Gmodist Unified Armed Forces was formed to protect the Empire of Gmodism.

The Armed Forces of the Empire of Gmodism uses a unified rank system based on ancient naval ranks, there is no “navy”, “army” “spaceforce” or “airforce” as of the Great Military Unification Act, there is only the The Imperial Gmodist Unified Armed Forces (EoG-IGUAF), which is usually shortened down to Army of Gmodism with the acronym “AoG” for all intents and purposes. The Ecclesiarchy of Gmodism however stubbornly prefers to use “Gmodisimi Legio” despite numerous attempts to make them adhere to the updated standard.

Military structure: The Army of Gmodism is led by the Lord High Admiral and Ecclesiarch Eric of Gmodism Empire. Military Ranks Ranks in the navy/military have grades and acronyms for them listed below.

Enlisted: Voluntarily enrolled soldiers or conscripted (drafted).
NCOs: Non commissioned officers, soldiers that through service have reached an officer rank.
COs: Commissioned officers, through military university they start training as cadets or similar, to eventually become a ranked commissioned officer. (Patreons)

The Empire of Gmodism is ultimately ruled by the Ecclesiarchy of the Empire with the Ecclesiarch Eric as the head of state. Eric first started his GMODISM YouTube channel 2009, in order to share videos and tutorials on complex building topics for a heavily modded Garry’s Mod game, one of the first games that let you build almost anything, with the right tools and knowledge… Soon thereafter other creative games followed and continue to do so. In order to play any of these games however one need a computer, so from early on Eric also started to make tech tutorials about fixing hardware and software challenges he came into contact with. This also includes a variety of tutorials on how to use software in general, tech reviews and just videos on personal opinions and topics.

_{Gmodism is an arbitrary -ism based around development, engineering and do-it-yourself mentaliy. We value creativeness and immersive experiences that expands our mind. The name of the channel comes from my oldest online username that was inspired by the first creative sandbox game i really enjoyed, Garry’s Mod, short of that is GMod combined with an -ism like a movement or religion. I got really into different creative sandbox games and I started building a lot of really advanced stuff, and I came to understand that there is really no limit on what you can make and no limit on what you can learn, so I took this approach to the rest of my life, learned how to build whatever I want in both real life and in games, I constantly learn and explore how to fix technical issues, repair and reuse hardware. I started this channel with tutorials, tech tips and gameplay experiences I like to share. I highly enjoy both futuristic and historical settings, this channel has a evolving plethora of both creative and immersive games to explore and enjoy. So Gmodism is this feeling and approach inspired by a sandbox game with no limits. That let’s you realize your dreams, have the experiences you search for, learn to navigate and fix this technological world around us and just be a nerd! As Eric developed his content creator style it became clear that he also liked a more relaxing playstyle with longplays while just soft speaking or whispering, so the content was then broadened with an ASMR and relaxation channel now called RELAXISM (Gmodism Relaxation) that now also provides relaxing and sleep help sounds aside the relaxing gameplay.

Eric also wanted to make some live streams and Twitch was chosen as the main platform for GMODISM live. The YouTube channel GMODIST was first created as an extra channel for extra content but now also provides VODs (video on demand) from the streams. In addition to 24/7 entertainment streams (down during periods he is unable to manage them).

The GMODISM Empire has a presence on social media, mainly X for updates and our subreddit r/GMODISM for video suggestions etc. Our Discord community is well liked for discussions and events. While other social medias have been used before they are not anymore due to time management.

To provide merchandise for the GMODISM universe and bring apparel ideas to life, multiple merch stores were established where objects can be obtained to enhance the gmodist’s experience while supporting GMODISM.
